On The Page

{Prompts for your writing adventure}

One prompt may be your portal to better writing.

Another may be a window into why you write at all.

Whether you’re shaping a piece of fact or fiction or something in between…

Whether you’ve stalled or are swimming in synergy in your writing life…

My write direction on the page prompts invite you to explore the why, how, and what you write. They help you to expand and refine your ideas to prepare the way, the page for something whole and intentional to arise.

Journey through the threshold question, the path prompts, and the insights that arise. How deep, how wide, how far will your responses take you? There’s only one way to find out!

On the Page Threshold Question

Why do you brave facing the blank page to write?

Path Prompts

1. When did this writing endeavor or your longing to write become a part of your thought life?

2. If you’re unsure what to write, think about what theme, series of words, or questions have accompanied you like a loyal but slightly bothersome puppy? Describe those and choose one to accompany through the prompts. (It might end up being the creation you’ve been seeking.)

3. The truth or tale that is coming into being through me is…

4.  I stall/get energized when I start to write about…

5. A message I want to share in my prose/poetry can be expressed in these four words…

6. How has your life prepared you for this writing?
