For The Journey

{Prompts for your life adventure}

What does a blank page feel like to you? A warm bath offering comfort? A space insisting to be filled? A listening ear awaiting your words, thoughts, and hopes?

What if it’s a mirror that can reflect your truths?

My write direction for the journey is a trail of curious prompts, questions, pauses to help you pay attention to your life.

Experiences that have come before.

Messages and meaning which arise in this moment.

The leadings and longings that draw you forward.

Potential insights get clouded by distractions or the momentum of routine. Clarity happens as you interact with your thoughts, emotions, memories, experiences and explore what is projected onto the white expanse. This journey leads to understanding and gratitude for who you are, how you have been created, and what you bring to the universe’s party.

Are you ready? Let’s start with a threshold question followed by path prompts, and then a 10 minute my write direction for the journey reveal. You can write or think through the path prompts, whichever suits your mood and moment.

Journey Threshold Question:

When have you felt most wholly, fully authentically you?

Path Prompts:

1. Describe the scene or season. Where were you, how old were you, who were you with, what were you doing?

2. Which of those elements was most pivotal to your sense of authenticity?

3. Describe the feelings of that moment or around this memory.

4. How often do you feel this way now?

5. What could you take from this recollection and welcome into today?

Writing Reveal:

Write for ten minutes about something that surfaced during the path prompts. (Possibilities: Surprises. Sense of loss. Energy of hope. Ideas for change. Something long forgotten.)
